Flandreau FFA Booster Co-Ed Softball Tournament

August 18, 2012 9:00 am start. 8:30 am managers' meeting.

Rules:

*Rosters must be submitted by the start of the first game. Any team not submitting a full roster (including name, address, phone, and e-mail of all players will forfeit any paid registration and will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.

*Registration: Team registration costs will be on a per teammate basis. If the team members pay Flandreau FFA Booster Club dues ($7.00) they can play for free. If they do not pay dues, per player registration is $10.00. (Each player choosing the club dues method of payment must provide all contact information)

*3 women must be playing at all times - in the field and in the batting order.

* Men will use a 12" ball and women will use an 11" ball.

*All players must be over 18 years of age and out of high school.

*All players must EITHER be a Flandreau Public School Graduate OR a current resident of Moody County.

*Two homeruns are allowed per team per game. Each extra home run will result in a walk.

*If a man is walked, the woman directly behind him in the batting order can also walk only if there are 2 outs. If there is not a woman behind the man, the batter only gets 1 base.

*Games will be played until the 6th inning.

*Run Rule: There is a 10 run rule after the 4th inning and a 15 run rule after the 3rd inning.

*Teams should be ready to play 1/2 hour before their scheduled time. If timing permits, we will run ahead of schedule.

*Umps will be provided. These umps have the last and only call on the bases. Any arguing with the umps could result in individual or team removal from the tournament.

*Slide rule: Players must avoid contact at home plate when a ball is actively being played out at home plate. Failure to avoid contact will result in an automatic out and possible removal from the tournament.

*Batters will start with a 1:1 count.

*This tournament is for FUN and everyone should treat it as such.

*Winning team will receive 25% of the total paid entry fees and the team name will go on a plaque displayed in the Agriculture classroom at Flandreau Public School. Second place will receive 15% of the total paid entry fees.
